Toni Rockwell

In the time Rockwell has lived in the Tahoe area, she taught school, pursued her interest in native wildlife and vegetation, and worked as a Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue member for twenty years.

What altered Rockwell’s path was the fused glass necklace displayed around her friend’s neck, who also offered to teach her about the craft. This prompted Rockwell’s glass-making career. To later refine her skills, she took classes – both online and in-person and converted part of her home into a studio.

Rockwell’s art reflects the Tahoe environment around her. Glass imitations of trees, wildflowers, mountains, and water can be found in her works. She wishes to inspire others to find their creative passion like she had found hers.
