Born at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, and growing up in Woodside and Menlo Park, Sugg gained a great appreciation for both beauty and nature. She went on to study literature at San Fransisco State. From there she moved to Truckee, CA where she enjoys the natural attraction of the mountains.
Sugg started her career path as a landscape designer. After some time, she wanted to transfer her love for both the outdoors and movement into a new profession. Sugg decided to make jewelry. It allowed her to explore different forms of the outdoor world and transfer these kinesthetic experiences into objects that are accessible and understandable to all people.
